Herblore in OSRS is a pretty comfortable and relaxed, but can be very rewarding in the end. When it comes to fighting in the wilderness, or battling many of the game’s bosses, you’ll find that making your own potions can be extremely beneficial to your pocket!
This skill can be very expensive to train efficiently. Thankfully, with this Herblore guide for OSRS you’ll find a great way to train no matter how much money you have.
It’s often cheaper to buy your own herbs, clean them, and add them to a vial. However if money isn’t a problem, you can take the quicker route of buying unfinished potions directly from the Grand Exchange. These small differences can add up to saving plenty of money while training the skill, or speeding up your experience rates drastically.

Amulet of Chemistry
An Amulet of Chemistry is a jade amulet enchanted with the level 2 Enchant spell. While worn, it grants a 5% chance to give you an extra dose when brewing potions. It lasts for 5 charges before crumbling to dust.
It is very highly recommended that you utilize the effects of the Amulet of Chemistry with potions worth more than the cost of 1 amulet per 5 doses to save millions out of your pocket on the way to 99.
The amulet can be toggled to stop making potions if it breaks, this way you never lose out on its effect. While it bank be annoying to replace the amulet every 5 charges, it will help you save money when making most higher level potions.
Quick banking is key to receiving the fastest experience rates in this skill. Thanks to a recent bank update, this can be done super easily. Previously players would often resort to mousekeys or scripts to help them bank fast. Nowadays that is largely not needed.
When you open your bank, look towards the bottom for the “Quantity” section. Select the X option, then right click and choose “Set custom quantity”. When making potions, set this to 14. If you are cleaning herbs, set this to 28.
You can now bank much more effectively. Simply left-click both items to withdraw the perfect amount. The seconds that you save here will add up when you have to train the skill for hours to reach 99!
There are multiple quests that can be completed to get some easy Herblore experience. You can achieve level 1-19 by completing a few easy quests and without touching a single potion!
