Fire Giants Slayer Guide
Fire Giants OSRS Slayer Guide
In OSRS, Fire Giants do not require a certain Slayer level to be assigned. These beasts can be assigned to you by the following Slayer masters: Vannaka, Chaeldar, Nieve and Duradel. No matter your combat level, Fire Giants can be a rewarding assignment with high experience rates.
While it may be daunting to kill a high number of them for lower levels, you’ll be happy to know that they can be completely safe spotted. All three combat styles can be very effective against Fire Giants, but you’ll want to use Ranged or Magic if you plan on safespotting.
Fire Giants can be found at multiple locations across OSRS. One of the most iconic being the Waterfall Dungeon, which you can gain access to by completing the Waterfall quest.
The easiest way to access this dungeon is by using a Games Necklace to teleport to the Barbarian Outpost. Then run south towards the raft and entrance to the cave. Remember to bring a Rope and your Glarial’s Amulet to enter.
Safe spots are incredibly easy to use here. Stand inside the small hallway outside of the door, or use the chair in the center of the room if the monsters are no longer aggressive. Monsters lose their aggressiveness after about 10-20 minutes of being inside this room.
Regular Fire Giants may also be found in the far end of Nieve’s Slayer Cave and the Brimhaven Dungeon. If you have received a wilderness task, they may be found in the Deep Wilderness Dungeon at the very end. Lastly, higher level Fire Giants are found in the northwestern corner of the Catacombs of Kourend.
Fire Giants are incredibly easy to gear for. If you don’t have the proper melee stats or equipment, it may be advised to safespot using Ranged or Magic. Generally no matter which method, you will want to bring your best gear for the specific style. Below you can see a few example setups. Prayer bonus gear should be taken if opting to use Protect from Melee during your task.
While the cannon can be placed in some Fire Giant locations, none of them are a multi-combat zone. This means you cannot use your cannon to the full effect. Tasks are generally quick and painless even without a cannon.
Below you can find the full drop table of Fire Giants. Most drops are basic for mid-level players and are not worth much. Many new players, especially Ironman accounts, kill these monsters for the Rune Scimitar drop. There are some special drops, as usual, for the Fire Giants found in the wilderness or Catacombs of Kourend. These are marked by the * icon within the table.
