In the world of Grim Dawn, you exist in an apocalyptic fantasy world where humanity is on the brink of extinction and where trust is hard earned. When you begin your journey, you have many different classes to choose from, all of which have thousands of unique build combinations that can be configured to fit your play style. While on your adventure in Grim Dawn, you will come across many different enemies and hazards as well as memorials of once-holy shrines that are in need of your help to restore them to their former glory.
Grim Dawn, whether playing alone or with friends, will appeal to anyone who enjoys a complex and detailed ARPG that is built within a large, beautiful world. There are hundreds of different items for you to acquire along your journey and many different skills to learn along the way. These skills will grow along with your character as you develop the massive skill tree the game has to offer; all of which can be reset at a later date if you would like to build your character differently in the future.
You are fighting to restore humanity by participating in the efforts to rebuild structures, rescue survivors and secure vital necessities. While doing so, you will gain reputation with the faction in that area. As your faction reputation increases, the vendors will offer discounts and exclusive items as a way to thank you for your contribution. On the contrary, you can also become infamous to certain factions which will increase their hostility and cause more powerful monsters to spawn in the area.
There is never a dull moment in Grim Dawn. The main story isn’t the only thing to keep you busy in this apocalypse. While completing your main quests you will stumble upon different dungeons that await your arrival. These dungeons are no joke! Some dungeons are rogue-like in nature, which means you have to be fully committed when entering them. Why? Because there are no teleports allowed and the only way to leave upon entry is to complete them or, unfortunately, to die!
